KOJH FM presents jazz performance, past and present, along with local news of the historic jazz district as it pertains to current educational and other opportunities in jazz music.  KOJH FM will reflect the Mutual Musicians Foundation’s mission to promote jazz music where it happened in Kansas City.

Although KOJH FM focuses on preserving and presenting the Kansas City style of jazz music on the air, there is so much more to the mix of cultures in our service area.  Plans include programming produced by people in the surrounding neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are a vibrant and eclectic mix of cultures within the station’s service area in the historic jazz district and beyond.

The musical heritage of our neighbors from diverse ethnic backgrounds and origins make an opportunity to present World Music programming on KOJH FM in a context of performance and cultural preservation, along with related educational programs, supporting and encouraging inclusion, understanding and appreciation of the many cultures making up the historic jazz district and surrounding neighborhoods.

KOJH FM will broadcast from studios located in the historic Mutual Musicians Foundation building off Highland near 18th and Vine.  Programs will be remote broadcast from various performance venues, celebrations and community events live on the air.

Mutual Musician Foundations after-hours jam session will be broadcast live every Friday and Saturday night.  These jam sessions are the longest-running jams in the world, and come to you live on KOJH FM.

KOJH FM is not only broadcasting to its service area in Kansas City, but available in the World Service of KOJH FM on the Internet.

The programming heard on KOJH FM will span the globe.
